How to get cool stuff for your desk at work

Today's e-mail:

Leta,

Is the schedule for the meeting in April set enough so that we can get reservations? Are you arranging hotel rooms? Enquiring minds want to know.

-----------

Yep, the dates are firm and I've made the reservations. I have your [hotel rewards] number, so that'll already be applied to your reservation.

Are you going to bring me a present from Alabama?

-----------

Sure, you want a lump of red clay or a model space rocket. I haven’t found much else there in Huntsville.

-----------

Either is fine with me. Of course, I'll have it on my desk and I'll tell people that you gave it to me.

-----------

I’ll go with the space rocket, then.

Not to mention that bringing red clay to Maryland is very much like bringing coals to Newcastle! Unless it's a different shade of red?

Yeah, I've actually BEEN to Huntsville twice, and the only other thing I could think of would be a Huntsville Stars* baseball cap. Get the rocket. If for no other reason than It gives you the chance to hum "If I had a rocket launcher" ** by Bruce Cockburn and then say "Oh wait, I do."
